A Guide to Good New York Coffee

March 12, 2010

Here’s a great New York Times article last week by Oliver Strand about the growth of the culinary coffee scene in New York City.

Check out the map of New York coffee bars that “not only produce extraordinary coffee at the highest standards, but also do so with consistency, day after day.”

Several of my favorites are listed — Cafe Grumpy, Stumptown, Ninth Street Espresso, Joe…

Enjoy. Yes, I work at the paper, but I had nothing to do with it. I was pleasantly surprised to see it. Maybe I’ll expand my espresso quest this spring and bike to them all, starting with the ones in Manhattan.
